Meet Carrie Weber
Carrie Weber, a Pittsburgh native and registered nurse, became Living Stones’ part-time Community Health Worker in January of 2022. Already a dedicated volunteer, whether interacting face-to-face with our neighbors or working tirelessly behind the scenes, Carrie was a natural for this position.
Having returned to Pittsburgh from Chicago in 2018, after living there for 10 years with her husband and two children, Carrie and her family began volunteering with Living Stones. They quickly became key members of the team, with Carrie assuming more and more responsibilities.
Carrie, who also works part time as a consultant with a defibrillator company, says, “I’ve always wanted to help people. It’s part of who I am. It’s why I’m a nurse. Giving back to my community is important to me, too. I’m inspired by a quote from Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., who says, ‘Somewhere along the way, we must learn that there is nothing greater than to do something for others.’”
Carrie’s healthcare background, passion for helping others, commitment to Living Stones, and an inherent desire to learn and try new things made her the hands-down, number-one candidate for the position. We believe that Carrie is here by the providence of God, Who has prepared her for this position and brought her here, all according to His perfect plan for her and for Living Stones. How grateful we are!
